"I live in Nebraska,
land of open plains and wind and heat, and I love art and all things creative.
I am getting married in July and soon after will graduate from college. Needless to say, I am extremely busy right now, but still have a few scraps of time in which to use my camera and spirit to create art.
I've always enjoyed taking pictures and I think I've always had an eye for
composition and
balance. About two years ago, I decided that my small digital camera wasn't giving me the freedom I needed to make the shots I could imagine. So I bought a camera on eBay - and it was immediate passion! I
never took any classes or had any training but learned plenty of things online. I found Etsy this past Christmastime when searching for a gift ... I was really intrigued by the site, and eventually, of course, I realized that this was a great
potential place to sell!
Nature is full of
inspiration for me, and I think my greatest motivation to create is to show people what they are
missing - and what they could see for themselves if they would only use their imaginations and take time to
slow down. I love architecture, structure, lines and geometry just as much as organic shapes like flowers and branches.
... Lately I've really loved
infrared photography. I've written a blog about the process
here.
